Chinese vocational college seeks UK partner for joint HND programme

Liaoning Vocational and Technical College of Modern Service is looking for a UK partner to deliver a joint 3+0 HND dual-certificate programme, based in Shenyang. The proposed subjects are logistics and hospitality management. The selected UK institution will partner with the college to deliver the HND programme in China, and will be promoted as a degree top-up destination.

Areas of responsibilities for the two collaborating parties

The UK partner will be expected to:

  • contribute to the curriculum design of the two subjects
  • provide teachers to teach the programme in China
  • provide teacher training to the Chinese teachers before the start of the courses
  • provide quality assurance for the joint HND programme

Liaoning Vocational and Technical College of Modern Service:

  • provide funding
  • provide the Chinese teaching staff  
  • provide the teaching premises in China
  • recruit students

About Liaoning Vocational and Technical College of Modern Service

Liaoning Vocational and Technical College of Modern Service is located in Shenyang. It was founded in 1985 and currently has 5,300 students and more than 200 teachers. It provides 17 subjects and its graduate students have high employability rate and will have the opportunity to work at People’s Hall, State Guesthouse, Shenyang airport and etc. The college is planning to establish an international institute on logistics to meet local demand for talent in this area.

About Shenyang

Shenyang is the capital and the largest city of Liaoning province in North East China, with a population of more than 8 million. It is an important industrial centre and serves as the transportation and commercial hub of North East China. It is currently diversifying its economy to create a solid foundation in the following industrial sectors: aerospace, machine tools, heavy equipment, defence, software, automotive, and electronics.
