Opportunity                                                   

Tianjin Polytechnic University (TJPU) is looking for UK partners to develop and deliver 2+2 or 3+1 undergraduate degree articulation programmes in the fields of fashion design, art and design and/or composite material.

Upon successful completion of the programme, students will receive a Bachelor’s degree in their field from the UK partner university.

A short term exchange programme in the same areas could also be discussed.

This is an opportunity for the selected UK partners to establish long-term partnerships with one of the top polytechnic universities in China, particularly strong in the fields of textiles, design and composite materials, with potential for expansion into other fields, such as student and faculty exchange, joint programmes and joint research. It is also an opportunity for the UK partners to raise their institutions’ profiles and brand awareness in China, which may benefit student recruitment

Areas of responsibility for the two collaborating parties

The selected UK partners will be expected to work with Tianjin Foreign Studies University to:

• develop the curricula for the joint programmes
• provide support in the quality assurance and pre-departure guidance of the programmes
• issue a Bachelor’s degree to the students upon completion of the programmes.

For TJPU:

• promoting and recruiting students for the programmes
• providing qualified teaching staff as well as the required teaching premises and logistical support for the joint programmes
• providing the first year as a foundation course for those students pursuing the joint programmes
• supporting prospective students in preparing to study in the UK as part of the programmes.
