Chinese University seeks UK partner for dual masters' programme in transportation and logistics

Chongqing Jiaotong University is looking for a UK university with which to develop a joint postgraduate programme in transportation and logistics following a 1+1+1 model. It is expected that students recruited for this joint master’s degree programme will spend the first and third years at Chongqing Jiaotong University, and the second year with the partner university in the UK. Upon completion, successful students will graduate with two master’s degrees: one from Chongqing Jiaotong University and one from the partner university in the UK.

UK partner

The selected UK partner will be expected to develop a joint curriculum for the course, support the recruited students in learning English during the programme, and provide support in the quality assurance of the joint programme.    

Chongqing Jiaotong University

Chongqing Jiaotong University will be responsible for gaining approval for the joint programme from the Ministry of Education, providing qualified teaching staff as well as the required teaching premises and logistical support, and providing support in the quality assurance of the joint programme.

About Chongqing Jiaotong University

Founded in 1951, Chongqing Jiaotong University is a multi-disciplinary university specialising in civil engineering subjects, including highway engineering, bridge and structure engineering, and harbour and waterway transportation, in addition to other non-engineering subjects such as management, science, economics, and arts.

In recent years, Chongqing Jiaotong University has been involved in the research, design and construction of 70 national projects and more than 300 local projects, such as the Three Gorges Water Conservancy Terminal Research Project and the Chengdu - Chonqqing Expressway Project. The University was awarded a first prize for National Scientific and Technological Progress in 2001 and a second prize for National Scientific and Technological Progress in 2004 by the Chinese State Council. 

About Chongqing
