Chinese agency seeks UK university for joint training programme

Brief introduction of Chinese partner

China Services International, Yangzhou Branch (CSI-YB) in Jiangsu province is a semi-governmental association that provides services in human resources. It is supported by the State Administration on Foreign Experts Affairs, Yangzhou Branch.

Brief introduction of training programme and expectations

CSI-YB runs an International Comprehensive Professional Skills (ICPS) training programme, which is authorised by the UK’s Institute of International Professional Qualifications (IIPQ). The ICPS programme is designed for professionals who have an undergraduate degree or above and more than ten years work experience, including six years in a management role. The programme equips participants with the skills and knowledge needed to manage companies and people, develop products and services, and generate ideas and opportunities.

CSI-YB is looking to establish a long-term partnership with a UK university and jointly deliver the next ICPS programme, which is scheduled to begin in April 2015. The course structure and content has already been by approved by IIPQ and will consist of ten 12-hour modules. (Details of the programme are available in the attachment.)

Requirements for UK partner

The UK university must have a strong record in subjects related to human resources, leadership, management, communication, innovation and strategic thinking, all of which are fundamental to the IIPQ-ICPS system.

Ideally, the UK partner will deliver three of the modules, with one being the minimum. Each module will be delivered in the format of a 3-day training course, which will consist of two sessions per day involving lectures and case studies in the morning and workshops in the afternoon.

CSI-YB will pay about RMB7,000 per day for each trainer and will cover international return flights (economy class) and accommodation, meals and transportation in China.
