Chinese agency calls for UK provider of summer preparatory programmes

A Chinese agency is looking for a UK provider of summer preparatory programmes suitable for Chinese students seeking to enrol at boarding schools and universities in the UK.

Introduction of Chinese agency:

This opportunity is from an agency based in Zhengzhou, Henan province, China. The agency wants to expand into the summer school market.

Programme expectations:

Ideally, groups should consist of 10–15 students of 12–15 years of age and be open to students of all nationalities. The programme should be two to three weeks in length and must include general courses on preparing applications for boarding schools and universities. The preferred programme location is a boarding school or university campus.

UK providers interested in this opportunity should send a sample programme along with details of the programme location, accommodation arrangements and a price range to su.si@britishcouncil.org.cn by 5pm (GMT) on 16 January 2015.

Interested parties are also invited to share details of any foundation or access programmes offered at their institution.

The British Council will charge £40 for each student enrolled on the programme as a service commission, which is payable by the proposal winner.

Please note the British Council is only involved in the provision of partnership brokering services. The final decision lies with the agent and will depend on the price quotation, programme design and content, programme location, teaching resources and other factors.
