British Council Azerbaijan is pleased to announce a call for Small Grants applications for a partnership development initiative between UK and Azerbaijan Higher Education Institutions (HIE).

The aim of the small grants implemented within Global Partnerships initiative of British Council is to support partnership development between UK and Azerbaijan HEIs through exchange of knowledge and expertise in teaching and research areas. The project will support development of long-lasting links between UK and Azerbaijan HEIs.

Who can participate:
The applicant must be based either in the UK or in Azerbaijan, and she/he must have a research or academic post (permanent or fixed-term) at a recognized publicly funded research establishment, or public or private HEI in the UK or in Azerbaijan. Application should focus on partnership development within higher education between the UK and Azerbaijan. Application should contain a letter of support from a partner institution (based either in the UK or Azerbaijan).

Funding:
The maximum grant to be awarded per application is 3000 GBP (3660 AZN). The total suggested cost of a project can exceed the grant amount. Universities will need to cover the difference themselves.

Selection process:
Applications will be assessed by the British Council Azerbaijan staff after the deadline for submission of applications. Top two successful applicants will be notified in writing about the results by 27 February 2015.
