Call for Proposals – CO02: General English-Language Course in the UK for Colombian students

The British Council in Colombia is looking for a British Council Accredited language course provider in the UK to provide a 2 or 3-week course for a group of 5-8 Colombian students and professionals from our Teaching Centre.

The language school should be located in Edinburgh. Since Edinburgh is renowned for its Film Festival and arts and cultural scene, we would like to offer this course as a themed trip. The course should be a combination of classes in the morning, a range of social and cultural activities in the afternoons, with cultural excursions on the weekends. The classes will need to be in an open group integrated with students from multiple countries. Closed groups are not accepted.

The call is open to all institutions who can comply with the requirements set below.

  1. Duration: 2 weeks (also include a 3-week proposal)
  1. Course Dates: 13 June - 27 June 2020
  1. Group Description:
  • Based on a group of 5-8 Colombian students and professionals (18+), with different levels of English (A2-B2) from our Teaching Centre, wishing to improve their general English skills . Nevertheless, we would need the institution to be flexible enough to host up to 15 students.
  • Age range: 18+
  1. Course description:
  • 20 hours a week, general English course.
  • Cultural activities: Activities should be planned ahead of time and have a learning objective, hopefully linked to what students are seeing in the classroom. A detail program of activities and Institution Activity Leaders assigned will be requested if selected.
