Bohai University calls for UK partner institutions for joint programme and teacher training programme

Project introduction

  • Cooperation model: the Bohai University is expecting multi-level cooperation
  • Teacher’s training programme (funded): to send Bohai University’s teachers for postgraduate study or short-term training
  • Joint programme: the Bohai University hope to conduct a joint or articulation programme in the following formats: 2+2, 3+1 dual degree program or 3+1+1.5 progression programme
  • Joint research projects in Food science and engineering, Control science and engineering, and Mathematics
  • Subject focus: Food science and engineering, Control science and engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, New energy material and devices and Mathematics. Subjects of academic strength from potential partners are also negotiable.

Brief introduction to Bohai University

Bohai University was established in 1950. It is located in Jinzhou, Liaoning Province. It ranks within the top 200 of all China’s undergraduate universities. There are 25,000 students including postgraduate students and undergraduate students, and 1200 teachers among whom there are 200 professors and 400 doctorate degree holders.

Bohai University is strong in academic subjects including: Food science and engineering, Control science and engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, Management and Computing. The university also has four research labs as Key Liaoning Province Labs, 1 science and technology platform ranked as Liaoning Province Higher Institutes' Key Platform for Science and Technology and 11 unique leading research programs. Bohai University’s faculty has obtained 90 patent rights, and published 393 professional books and more than 8,700 papers. Bohai University has established cooperative relationships with many universities in the UK, Japan, South Korea, etc. The university also recruits overseas students from over 28 countries. Currently, the university has an exchange program with a university in South Korea and sends teachers abroad for training each year.
