Beijing TV channel seeking Chinese students for special programme on UK education

BTV Science & Education Channel, the third most popular TV channel in Beijing, is looking for Chinese students studying in the UK and representatives from the UK education sector to be featured on a special TV programme focusing on UK education.

BTV Science & Education Channel will be visiting the UK from 2 to 30 June to start filming for a special TV programme showcasing UK education and looking at the lives of Chinese students studying in the UK. The programme will run for a full season of 12 episodes, each 50 minutes in length, which will be broadcast to an estimated audience of more than 1.5 million.

UK institutions are invited to nominate up to three Chinese students and up to two representatives to be featured in the programme. Please complete the attached nomination form and return it to lukas.thibaut@britishcouncil.org.cn by 1 June.

For logistical reasons priority will be given to UK institutions based in and around London. The participating institutions must be willing to give permission for BTV Science & Education Channel to conduct filming and interviews on their grounds.

BTV Science & Education Channel is part of Beijing Television, a government-owned television network founded in 1979 and based in Beijing. It focuses on educational topics.
