Beijing Jingshi Leyu Culture Exchange Centre seeks Study Tour Partner

The Beijing Jingshi Leyu Culture Exchange Centre is looking for UK institutes to host groups of around 20 Chinese students aged 10-17 years old on two-week study programmes during the winter period.

The content of the study programme should consist entirely of school time with UK peers in the following subjects: English, history, mathematics, and natural and social sciences. Opportunities to go on cultural excursions are also welcomed.

Benefits
The partnering UK institution will:
• receive financial reimbursement for their support, to be further negotiated with Jingshi Leyu
• raise awareness of their brand among Chinese students, which may support future student recruitment
• develop a long-standing partnership with Jingshi Leyu, with the possibility of future cooperation.

Areas of responsibilities for the two collaborating parties

Services provided by UK partner:
• curriculum design and teaching for the students of secondary school level
• accommodation at local host families or student halls
• three meals a day (including drinks)
• extra-curricular activities and cultural sightseeing
• a letter of invitation to support the visa application process
• transport to and from the airport.

Services provided by Chinese partner:
• all promotion and recruitment of students in China
• Chinese supervisor to assist all students throughout the winter camp
• coordination of students’ UK visa applications and international ticket booking
• guidance for Chinese students before they leave for the UK.

About Beijing Jingshi Leyu Culture Exchange Centre

Jingshi Leyu was established in July 2014. Its primary business is to arrange study tour programmes for students from primary to middle school level. They successfully arranged study tour programmes with schools in Texas, USA in January 2016. They would now like to expand their business to educational institutes in the UK.

Timeline

Jingshi Leyu wishes to connect with UK institutes in May 2016, with more detailed communication taking place between the two parties in June and July. The centre plans to start recruiting students for the study programmes in September and October 2016, and sending students to the UK in January 2017.

Please submit a proposed programme, including an introduction of the institution, study curriculum, catering, accommodation and transportation. A quotation outlining all the costs related to the proposed programme, including any management fees charged by the institution, is needed.

Please note, the British Council will charge a 1000GBP management fee.
