“Arts & Design 1:1 Portfolio Review and Sample University Lecture”

Meet students and promote your institution at British Council’s Arts & Design Portfolio Review Event.

We are pleased to inform that our 1:1 Portfolio Review Event for UK institutions is back!

With the success of our previous event in April with several UK universities, we are happy to host the event once again in October, this time with university sample lecture opportunity.

Programme Overview

Arts & Design is the most popular subject area for Korean students to study in the UK.

Number of students going to the UK to study related subjects has constantly increased by 10% every year for the past three years.

This event is specifically designed for Art & Design schools looking to promote their institutions to students preparing their study abroad. A limited number of UK institutions with strong Art & Design programme to bring in academics to hold one-on-one sessions in an individual room to comment on the students’ portfolio and help them consider their path in the UK education. Participating institutions will also get an opportunity to deliver a sample university lecture to prospective students. The lecture can be a form of workshop where students can actually experience the class, or can be a regular lecture format.

Event Details

Date: 19 October, Thursday

Time: 15:00 - 21:00 (Each participating institution will get 30 minutes per student to review their portfolio. Translation will be provided by British Council staff)

Venue: British Council office

Cost

• For the portfolio review and guest lecture event on 19 October only: GBP 900+VAT  
• For school visit arrangement (with other UK institutions) on 16 October in addition to the portfolio review and guest lecture event: GBP 200+VAT

Recently held 1:1 portfolio session with a single school received great comments from the attendees where we could have a sense in great demand for face-to-face opportunity with Art & Design academics. We are hoping to use this opportunity to introduce excellent UK Art & Design programmes to Korean public.
