Anqing Medical College seeks UK partner for undergraduate articulation programme

Anqing Medical College is looking for a UK partner to develop and deliver a 3+2 undergraduate articulation programme in the subject of nursing. Anqing Medical College aims to recruit 30-50 students for the programme annually, who would be awarded a degree from the UK partner after successfully completing the programme.  

As part of the programme, Anqing Medical College would like to fund three teachers during the 2016/17 academic year, to undertake a training programme  of 6 months to learn about curriculum design and teaching materials development in the nursing subject. In addition, Anqing Medical College would like to organise a summer camp in the UK for ten students to learn about English and British Culture in 2017.

Brief introduction of Anqing Medical College

Anqing Medical College is located in Anqing,  a prefecture-level city in East China’s Anhui province with a population of 5 million people. Established in 1943, it is one of the top five medical education institutions in Anhui province.

Anqing Medical College provides a total of 13 subjects to more than 8,000 students, including 3-year diploma courses in clinical medicine, pharmacy and nursing. Students benefit from internship opportunities in Anqing Medical College’s affiliated hospital and its partner hospitals.

Please provide a one-page introduction of your organisation, highlighting relevant experience and strengths in running nursing programmes, as well as a quotation for the teacher training courses and summer camps, covering all costs including tuition, activities, accommodation, meals and transport.

The British Council will charge a £1,000 management fee as a service commission, which is payable by the proposal winner. This management fee includes liaison between both universities during the establishment of the partnership, pre-departure briefings for the students, participant support, and evaluation support after completion of the first year.
