About IGSF

The International Graduate Scholarship Fair (IGSF) first commenced in 2009. The fair has been held annually since then, with participation from foreign institutions and Chinese students increasing dramatically. The 2016 IGSF attracted representatives from 109 overseas higher education institutions/agencies from 17 countries and nearly 8,000 Chinese students, the majority of whom were from China 985/211 Project Universities . 

Why participate?

The 2017 IGSF will be held in four key Chinese universities in Beijing, Changchun, Hangzhou and Xiamen. 2017 IGSF is targeting over 90 foreign institutions and expecting 8,000-10,000 Chinese students to attend the fair.

China will continue to be one of the major source countries for students studying overseas. According to statistics of the Ministry of Education, there have been a total of 4.6 million Chinese citizens studying abroad from 1978 to the end of 2016. In the year 2016, 544,500 Chinese citizens went to study abroad, of which 30,000 were sponsored by the State Sponsored Study Abroad Programs and 16,300 sponsored by their home organizations. Self-financed students numbered 498,000.  

CSC plans to recruit a total of 32,500 new citizens to study abroad for all types of sponsored Study Abroad Programs in 2017. IGSF is a platform for Chinese interesting in studying abroad and being recruited by foreign institutions.

Who are eligible to register?
•    Overseas higher education institutions having an agreement with CSC
•    Other overseas higher education institutions offering graduate programs and scholarships that Chinese students may apply for
•    Foreign embassies and Consulate-Generals in China, and
•    Non-profit educational associations.

Please note:
- You are able to enjoy a good rate if you participate in four cities at a cost of US$ 7,200 instead of US$ 7,700.
- The above quote for one table is reserved for 2 participants. Any additional participants will be charged a fee of US$300/person/city. Please be kindly advised that the maximum capacity of one table is three participants. An extra table is required to order if you have more than three participants.

Participation fee includes:
•    Exclusive use of one meeting table with four chairs (two for the institution, two for students)
•    Access to the briefing and networking function
•    Entry to the IGSF brochure distributed to students
•    A volunteer assistant on-site at no cost
•    Free access to coffee/tea breaks on the fair day. A light lunch on the fair day in Beijing and Xiamen.
•    Free wireless internet connection at the fair venue wherever applicable, with plugs prepared
•    Free access to the list of registered Chinese students
•    Free assistance for hotel reservation at a special rate
•    Marketing on the IGSF official website and promoting activities in Chinese institutions

About Us

CSC, founded in 1996, is a non-profit institution affiliated with the Chinese Ministry of Education. The objective of CSC is to provide financial assistance to Chinese citizens wishing to study abroad and to foreign citizens wishing to study in China in order to promote scientific and technological, educational and cultural exchanges between China and other countries. In 2016, CSC sponsored a total of about 62,005 Chinese students and scholars studying or researching overseas.

CSC Dongfang, founded in 2000 by CSC, is devoted to promoting international cooperation and exchanges in education. It offers diversified services which include promoting graduate scholarship programs through IGSF, assisting participating institutions in establishing partnerships with Chinese education institutions, providing short-term overseas training programs, 6-12 month visiting scholar programs for administrators & teachers from Chinese universities and schools, and providing services to Chinese self-funded students who wish to study overseas and foreign students to study in China.
