The Indian government is determined to change the India education scenario and sync the education regulatory bodies together. In yet another effort to do so the government is all set to scrap the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and replace them with a single higher education regulator, tentatively christened Higher Education Empowerment Regulation Agency (HEERA).
