On 19 September the ministry has announced an implementation timeline for the National Education Policy (NEP). It has identified 300 tasks to be carried out in the next five years to ensure implementation of the new policy, which covers early childhood education and functional literacy and numeracy to mother tongue as a medium for education and revamped teacher training.
