Join Study UK Europe: TNE CONNECT and reach out to students in southern Europe!

Study UK Europe: TNE connect is designed for UK universities and their local partners to engage with students and parents across southern Europe, the Western Balkans and Israel. A combination of webinars, meetings and chats will allow prospective students and their families to learn about the high quality and reputation of UK TNE qualifications, cutting-edge campus facilities and learning resources, and practical information on applications and costs.

The event will take place online 14 - 18 March 2022.

We invite UK TNE providers in Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Malta, Romania and will promote across all five plus Israel and the Western Balkans (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia).

Why Study UK Europe: TNE connect?

The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic means students and parents are exploring affordable study options closer to home. Our latest ‘Brexit temperature check’ showed that awareness of TNE in the student’s own country has increased by 6 per cent since just before the pandemic, and consideration of TNE increased by 8 per cent. For undergraduate students especially, safety and welfare are a priority for parents who might prefer to have their children study nearer to home. In addition, study in the UK has become more costly for European students because of the change in fee status, with students likely to consider alternatives to going to the UK for studies.

This week-long event is the first multi-country event of its kind that the British Council has run in Europe.

What will Study UK Europe: TNE connect include?

  • An online British Council Study UK branded platform where students and parents register to attend webinars or talk to UK TNE providers
  • The opportunity to be selected to present at one of ten information webinars across five days to inform prospective students about TNE qualifications, TNE learning environments, application process and costs of a TNE degree
  • Webinar recordings will be made available to registered students and shared with new student audiences throughout the year
  • Participating UK TNE providers and their local partner will have an individual page on the platform to promote their offer through text, video and brochures to download.
  • One-to-one meetings and chat function between TNE providers and students
  • Contributing universities will have instant access to student data who visit their page or book meetings
  • Promotion via a social media advertising campaign across Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Malta and Romania, together with social media marketing, email and newsletter marketing through the British Council own channels in all five markets plus Israel and the Western Balkans

How will you benefit from joining Study UK Europe: TNE connect?

  • Raise your profile across all Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Malta, Romania, Israel and the Western Balkans and increase awareness of the TNE pathway as high-quality study option for a UK degree outside the UK
  • Promote your TNE programmes to students of neighbouring countries as well as local students in the country where your programme operates
  • Engage and nurture your target audience for future student recruitment
  • Your individual university dashboard with access to student data in real time – students who browse, chat and who book one-to-one or group meetings with you
