East Asia Webinar Series 2021-22: Virtual UK University Taster February– March 2022
Following the great success of delivering Masterclass Series and Thematic Webinars in East Asia in 2020-21, the British Council East Asia team is delighted to invite UK institutions to participate in The East Asia Webinar Series 2021-22. This virtual event aims to facilitate direct engagement between UK institutions and prospective students across the region for the following:
- Priority markets: Mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam
- Additional markets: Brunei, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan
There will be two events to be organised throughout the FY 2021-22, including:
- East Asia Virtual UK Masterclass Series: 15 – 26 November 2021
- East Asia Virtual UK University Taster: 22 February – 10 March 2022
*Please note that each event requires a separate registration and has a separate participation fee + VAT fee.

This webinar series will delve into specific subject discussions as well as practical challenges faced by students including admissions, accommodation, and on-arrival support etc. It will provide UK institutions with direct engagement with students and key influencers in markets

The planned activities are as follows:
- Part 1 : panel discussion (45 mins) + Q&A (10 mins)
- Part 2 : students sharing (20 mins) + Q&A (10 mins)
- Part 3 : online counselling (15 mins) in individual Zoom breakout rooms
We will hold technical rehearsals and the British Council will be happy to advise the participating universities on their plan for the webinars.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation fees will be charged for withdrawal from this event, as of the date of receipt of notice of withdrawal:
- 50 per cent of the full exhibition cost for withdrawals received on or after 17 December 2021
- 100 per cent of the full exhibition cost for withdrawals received on or after 5 January 2022
