The 2012 European Higher Education Fair (EHEF) in Manila brought in the biggest crowd of all study abroad exhibitions ever held in Manila. At almost 2000 visitors in a span of six hours, exhibitors and organizers were both overwhelmed by the reception. This attendance is attributed to the fact that the last EHEF in Manila was held in 2008 and the market had not had universities from other European countries as France, Germany, Spain and Italy since then. Also, the positioning of the Exhibition as a scholarship event drew further interest.

Given that the venue was crowded and the visitors were a mix of serious and curious students, UK exhibitors who were familiar with the market knew how to manage the queue of enquiring students. British Council Philippines marketed the event to UK institutions as an opportunity to see the wider market of potential students who may have sights set on mainland Europe for studies.

The UK exhibitors were generally satisfied with the event. The European Delegation is similarly satisfied that they plan on replicating the exhibition annually.

EHEF Manila 2012 was subsidized locally by the European Delegation to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Erasmus Mundus Programme. British Council Philippines was outsourced to manage the event in behalf of the European Delegation.
