British Council Greece held their first Roadshow in February 2016.

It was very important as it enabled us to raise the profile of UK education and strengthen our educational connections in four big cities outside our established reach in Athens and Thessaloniki.  It also gave us a lot of satisfaction and pride in making it happen after months of preparation. Four consecutive exhibitions were held in  Patras, Ioannina, Larissa and Heraklion, the four biggest cities after Athens and Thessaloniki.

Ten institutions joined the tour and close to 1,000 people visited the fairs which was a really promising result. As if the excitement of the first time roadshow was not enough, the road blockages by farmers protesting nationwide against government measures added further suspense to the expedition and the coach journey from venue to venue became a true adventure! Despite the ongoing anxiety of arriving and setting up in time at each city and venue, all went smoothly in the end.  Visitors’ feedback was great rating the event highly in terms of expectations,  quality of service and new knowledge and opportunities acquired. Similarly, the delegates’ feedback was positive and very encouraging.

The next roadshow will take place from 21 to 25 February at the same locations, Patras, Ioannina, Larissa and Heraklion (Crete).
