In November 2015, British Council Greece held exhibitions in both Athens and Thessaloniki. Both were very well attended with a total of 4,000 visitors, 52 exhibitors in Athens and 22 in Thessaloniki.
The visitors’ main interest remains on higher education with demand for UG reported steady and PG increasing compared to last year. Exhibitors verified the growing interest in PG courses and reported that the market seemed to be picking up again. On the whole, feedback from exhibitors was very positive, reporting very satisfied with number and quality of enquiries and impressed with quality of venue particularly in Athens. More than 70% of Athens exhibitors and half of Thessaloniki’s exhibitors will definitely be attending this event next year.
Young Greek people and their parents, with an embedded high esteem towards UK education, look forward to our exhibitions keenly as a unique opportunity to reaffirm decisions about their future. “Excellent, educative, innovative and amazing” are some of the words visitors used when asked to describe the exhibitions in one word. When asked to change one thing about our exhibitions, almost unanimously request one thing: more universities!
