The 17th China International Education Exhibition Tour (CIEET 2012) was held in six major cities in China (Beijing, Zhengzhou, Chengdu, Shanghai, Xi’an, Wuhan and Guangzhou) from March 10 to 25, 2012.
The GREAT Campaign was launched at the exhibitions, which attracted over 50,000 visitors. British Council China set up UK pavilion in all the 6 stops and launched GREAT pillars at the exhibition. In total, 69 UK institutions participated in this exhibition tour with the highest number in Beijing (51 UK institutions) ranging from secondary schools to universities.
The exhibition was promoted on www.educationuk.org/china website and during the 2 week tour, attracted around 21,600 unique online visitors.
Two wrap-around activities were organised prior to the exhibition, including
- the alumni campaign: alumni stories were publicised and shared at our online and social media channels alongside the promotion of the exhibition to highlight the success of UK alumni and innovation of UK education.
- the school tour: a group tour to local A-level and international schools were organised for UK institutions to network with key contacts and provide face-to-face counseling to students.
