The very first Study Tour in Cambodia was organised by British Council Thailand. Eleven representatives from UK institutions joined the study tour in Cambodia with 91% stating that networking and new business partnerships have been expanded. The study tour included visits to three international schools in Phnom Penh, namely Zaman International School, Northbridge International School and International School Phnom Penh. Approximately 300 students joined the roadshow, broadening their horizons about studying abroad in UK.
In Cambodia, the number of Cambodian students going abroad has increased continuously every year. From 2006 to 2010, there was a 58% increase in the number of Cambodian students studying abroad, with 4,060 students in 2010.
