As the UK is due to leave the EU and introduce a student visa and graduate route in 2021, there will be considerable changes on the horizon for visa and immigration regulations. The UK government has announced new routes for international students to apply for visas valid from 5 October 2020, including a points-based immigration system which will “open up the UK to the brightest and the best from around the world”.
Please view our recording of ‘In Conversation with UKVI’ webinar series recorded on 23 September. You can see British Council’s Immigration Advisor, Helen Clews, at our first session where Helen was joined by an UKVI representative and together they highlighted the forecast changes and provide expert guidance.
The session also addressed some of the practical problems faced by visa applicants due to Covid-19, including visa application and IELTS centre closures, delayed exam results and distance learning exceptions.
