Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics (ZUFE) is looking for UK partners to develop TNE programmes (Bachelor and Master courses) in Applied Statistics, Data Science and Big Data Technology, Financial Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, and Supply Chain Management, etc., with the goal of recruiting up to 300 students per year.

Form of cooperation

  • Bachelor’s programme in the form of 4+0, 3+1
  • Master’s programme in the form of 2.5+0, 1.5+1
  • Joint-venture school of non-independent legal entity

Benefits for the UK partners

This provides an opportunity for the UK universities to:

  • establish long-term partnership with ZUFE, with potential for expansion into other fields such as research, articulation, student exchange, faculty exchange, teacher training, etc.

Areas of responsibility for the two collaborating parties

The UK partner university will be expected to work with ZUFE to:

  • develop the curricula for the joint programmes together with ZUFE
  • provide qualified teaching staff for the joint programmes
  • award bachelor/master’s degree to students

ZUFE will be responsible for:

  • promoting and recruiting students for the programmes
  • providing qualified teaching staff as well as the required teaching premises and facilities for the joint programmes
  • award bachelor/master’s degree to students

About Chinese University

ZUFE is one of the most prestigious academic institutions of business education in China. It is located in the city of Hangzhou, Zhejiang. According to the 2022 Times Higher Education World University Rankings, ZUFE ranks 801-1000 in world universities and 251-300 in young universities. The degree programmes offered at ZUFE cover various disciplines in economics, management, science, engineering, law, arts, humanities, and philosophy. The disciplines of engineering, and social sciences rank among the top 1% globally according to the latest ESI subject area ranking. ZUFE has now established partnerships with 137 universities and institutions from 33 countries and regions. It runs three joint undergraduate programmes in accounting, finance, and marketing, as well as one joint master’s programmes in applied finance. Over the past five years, 892 of ZUFE graduates went to UK to pursue master’s degree at top universities such as the University of Manchester, King's College London, University of Bristol, and University of Glasgow, etc.

Timeline

ZUFE plans to launch these programmes as soon as possible. The university is flexible in terms of deadline and open for UK partners’ enquiries.
