The Cultural and Education Section of the British Embassy in Moscow invites UK educational institutions to join a webinar designed to update you on the current digital trends in Russia that are helpful for student recruitment.
Russia has seen considerable growth in Internet penetration over recent years and is now number 1 in Europe for the number of Internet users. Digital platforms have become increasingly influential, displacing traditional media. Digital channels are considered to be the most trusted source of information and play an important role in students’ and parents’ decision-making process.
73% of the general Russian population and 98% of the young generation (16-29) are online.
Russia is Europe’s largest online video viewing market and its entertainment and media sector is one of the fastest-growing in the world. In 2018, half of Russia’s population was active in social media (on average 2 hours 20 minutes daily), compared with around 60 per cent in countries such as the USA, the UK, and Australia. Mobile internet is used by 67 million people in Russia, a 20% increase in just one year.
During the webinar we will share examples of successful campaigns delivered in Russia and talk about the use of digital media for student recruitment in various educational sectors.
The session will cover the answers for the following questions:
- What channels and platforms can be used for effective and efficient recruitment?
- How to create a digital marketing mix which will connect you with your target audience across Russia?
The webinar will be of interest to International Offices and to marketing and communication teams responsible for marketing activities in Russia.
