East Asian countries make up one of the major markets in terms of international student recruitment and global collaboration in international education.  In order to provide the most up-to-date market insights into the region, British Council SIEM East Asia team invites representatives from UK institutions to participate in a series of webinars organised by our experienced in-country teams.  Please click on the individual webinars listed below for more information on content and format.

Participation fee: GBP 80 (plus 20% VAT) per webinar per person

Webinars are typically 40 minutes long. Only limited places are available for each Webinar and places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. British Council retains the right to decline any registrations if the selected webinar(s) is / are full. 

Cancellation Policy: All registrations cannot be cancelled unless there are any technical problems leading to failure to attend the webinar. For any enquiries please email EA.Webinar@britishcouncil.org.hk.

British Council reserves the right to cancel the webinar by notifying registered UK institutions if overall registration does not meet the minimum number of 15 participants. Please also refer to the Terms for Services for the British Council SIEM.

If you are interested in joining any of the webinars listed above, please click into the URLs above to register for your interested webinar(s) at least two working days before the webinar(s) of your interest.

A confirmation email with your unique webinar joining URL(s) for individual webinars will be forwarded to you following your registration. No login is required for joining the webinar. Please look for confirmation email received from EA Webinar.  We will email the invoice and payment instructions to you in due course.

To join a webinar from a confirmation or reminder email

  1. Open the confirmation or reminder email for the webinar event.
  2. Click the link provided in the email to join the webinar in about 5 minutes before the start of the session.
  3. If prompted, click Yes, Trust or Always to accept the download. If the automatic download does not occur, follow the instructions on the download web page to do it manually.
  4. If prompted, enter the webinar password. If a password is required, this would have been provided in a separate communication from the webinar organizer.
  5. You will be entered into the Waiting Room. The Attendee Control Panel and GoToWebinar Viewer will appear when the organiser starts the webinar.
