The British Council and the British Embassy Tokyo will jointly organise an exciting year of UK-Japan exchange titled ‘UK in Japan 2019-20’ from September 2019. The year will coincide with the start of the Rugby World Cup and run through to the end of the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games in September 2020.
The initiative will use the catalyst of these two global sporting moments to showcase UK business, science, innovation, culture, the arts, education, and diversity and inclusion and their links with Japan. A series of events and activities including GREAT sector weeks and a diverse Cultural and Educational Programme will take place across these themes to demonstrate the strengths and opportunities for continued and new partnerships between the UK and Japan.
The British Council and British Embassy Tokyo are now seeking expressions of interest from sponsors and partners to help deliver the campaign. Sponsorship offers exceptional platforms for institutions to:
- Gain significant commercial exposure, through a strategically important campaign aligned with global events in a key market
- Showcase the UK as a powerhouse of innovation and expertise in all core sectors to an influential and relevant audience
- Align with the UK Government and British values
- Work in partnership with us to create content and help attract a high profile and relevant audience
- Use our global platform to do business
All sponsorship and partnership opportunities can be tailored to help institutions exploit the platform that the campaign provides. Further details of the campaign and the opportunities involved can be found at the link below and the attached PDF.
