British Council Singapore is inviting expressions of interest from UK higher education institutions to participate in the ‘Knowledge is GREAT’ Lecture Series 2022.
The lectures, delivered by leading UK specialists, showcase the UK's knowledge, creativity and innovation in areas of topical debate and discussion, and provide a platform for UK higher education institutions to raise the profile of their expertise in specific areas of relevance to Singapore.
Lecture series details:
- There will be four lectures held in 2022; one every quarter
- Format: virtual/in-person subject to travel regulations and safe management measures

Selection criteria:
- Each Expression of Interest will be reviewed by the Singapore Knowledge and Education Working Group, comprising the British High Commission, the British Chamber of Commerce, the Science and Innovation Network and the British Council.
- The theme of the lectures: topics should be broadly aligned with Singapore’s Future Economy priorities and Smart Nation initiatives, as well as the UK Science and Innovation Network’s priority sectors for Singapore.
- The link to future studies and graduate employability should be woven into the presentation.
- The Speaker should have a proven track record of delivering engaging sessions across a wide range of audiences (students, academics, general public).
- The Speaker should consent to being recorded, for further dissemination of the lectures across appropriate digital channels.
Timeline:
- Deadline for submission of interests: 7 January 2022, 1700 (GMT)
- Proposed finalisation of selections: 28 January 2022, 1700 (GMT)
- Selected institutions will be informed via email.
