University rankings and timeline
BCAS is interested in partnering with UK universities within the top 100 in the UK (QS or THE) rankings that focus on metrics such as student feedback on teaching, student progression within the programme, and the value-added score (reflecting academic improvements during their time at the university). According to BCAS, these metrics are strong indicators of the quality of the programs offered and align well with their requirements.
BCAS would like to connect as soon as possible to explore partnership opportunities with an intention of recruiting students for the March 2025 intake.
Expected outcomes through this collaboration
BCAS expects the collaboration will enable students to earn a UK degree in Sri Lanka, leading to several key desirable outcomes.
- Access to quality education - students will benefit from high-quality education delivered by prestigious UK institutions.
- Affordable UK degrees – students will be able to have better financial accessibility to a UK degree.
- Enhanced career opportunities for young graduates.
How will this collaboration benefit both institutions?
- Opportunity to expand student base by offering diverse programme pathways to current students and to attract new students.
- Academic enhancement through research collaboration, student exchanges, innovative initiatives, and knowledge sharing to significantly enrich the overall learning experience. Enhancing revenue through a range of programme offers generated by this partnership.
- The partner university will be able to expand its market reach in the rapidly growing Sri Lankan education sector, which is increasingly attracting institutions seeking internationalisation and students from across South Asia, South -East Asia and the Middle East.
