The Honours College at Tianjin Foreign Studies University is looking for UK partners to develop and deliver 3+1 and 3+1+1 articulation programmes in the fields of finance, financial management (ACCA) and international business.  

Upon successful completion of the programmes, students should receive a bachelor’s or master’s degree in their field from the UK partner university.

They are also interested to discuss short term student exchange programmes in the same fields.

Benefits for the UK partners

This is an opportunity for the selected UK partners to establish long-term partnerships with one of just eight foreign studies universities in China, with potential for expansion into other fields, such as student and faculty exchange, joint programmes and joint research. It is also an opportunity for the UK partners to raise their institutions’ profiles and brand awareness in China, which may benefit student recruitment and business development.

Areas of responsibility for the two collaborating parties

The selected UK partners will be expected to work with Tianjin Foreign Studies University to:

  • develop the curricula for the joint programmes
  • provide support in the quality assurance of the programmes

Tianjin Foreign Studies University will be responsible for:

  • promoting and recruiting students for the programmes
  • providing qualified teaching staff as well as the required teaching premises and logistical support for the joint programmes
  • providing a foundation programme for those students pursuing undergraduate degree courses at the UK university
  • supporting prospective students in preparing to study in the UK as part of the programmes.

About the Honours College of Tianjin Foreign Studies University

Tianjin Foreign Studies University is a multidisciplinary higher education entity founded in 1964, under direct administration of the Tianjin Municipal Educational Bureau. It is open to cooperation with foreign educational institutions on international educational exchanges including teaching exchanges, student exchanges, study abroad preparatory education, and cooperative education programmes.

The Honours College of Tianjin Foreign Studies University is an educational pilot project that started in 2011, selecting the most outstanding undergraduates and entering them into programmes designed to cultivate international-level talents.      

There are currently three major programs provided to Chinese and International students and taught in English: Finance, Financial Management (ACCA) and International Business. Within these, students study Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Political Economics, International Economics, Fundamentals on Accounting and Fundamentals on Management as their elementary courses and other optional courses including Money and Banking, Financial Accounting, Financial Management, Management Accounting, Corporate and Business Law etc.
