UK universities are invited to an exclusive Thai-UK seminar and networking event on Wednesday 20 November 2024, at Woburn House, London.
Organised by the British Council in Thailand and the Thai Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESI), the event will be an opportunity for UK universities to hear about partnership prospects with Thai institutions and learn about the priorities of MHESI.
There will also be a networking session and opportunities for one-to-one meetings between representatives from UK universities and delegates from Thai universities. A list of participating Thai universities is available in the document below.
Attendance at the event is free of charge. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
Programme
10.00–10.30 | Registration |
10.30–13.00 | Seminars and presentations on transnational education, research links, and research funding opportunities by UUKi and UK research councils. Updates on higher education policy and priority areas of Thai higher education by MHESI and Thai universities. |
13.00–14.00 | Networking lunch |
14.00–17.00 | One-to-one meetings to discuss partnership opportunities. (25 minutes per meeting. The meeting schedule will be arranged in advance. Some UK participants may finish earlier than 17.00, depending on the completion of their meetings.) |
Going Global Partnerships
This event is part of the British Council’s Going Global Partnership programme, which supports quality education by building a stronger, more inclusive, internationally connected higher education system. In Thailand, the programme supports the development of partnerships with the UK to enable greater international collaboration and improvement in higher education and research.
