The Study UK campaign is conducting research to explore the decision-making of international students who have chosen to study with UK universities.

This is an annual piece of research, conducted by the British Council for the Study UK campaign. This year, we are working with independent research agency, Red Brick Research, to complete the work.

This research involves a large-scale survey of newly-enrolled international students at higher education providers across the UK. As well as helping us to understand key factors in students’ decisions to study in the UK, this piece of research is vital in measuring the impact of the Study UK campaign and ensuring it can continue to improve and meet the objective of attracting global talent to study at institutions like yours.

We’re looking for your support in distributing the survey to your students. We have prepared the following email template and would be hugely grateful if our colleagues in higher education institutions could distribute it to all your EU and non-EU international students who have enrolled on courses which started in 2021 or are due to start in the coming months, both at the undergraduate and postgraduate level:

The survey will take around 15 minutes to complete, and as a thank you for your time you will have the opportunity to enter a prize draw for the chance to win a first prize of £200 or a runner-up prize of £50 – £100.

Your responses will contribute to understanding about international students’ priorities when thinking about where to study, helping the UK to deliver the best experience for students like you now and in the future. Your responses are anonymous.

The deadline for completing this survey is Thursday 31 March.

The survey is running from Thursday 20 January until Thursday 31 March.
