After the success of UK Open day in West India (Mumbai and Pune) , South India (Bangalore and Coimbatore) in 2023 and Delhi-NCR in 2024, the British Council is organising a Study UK schools and HEI tour to the cities of Guwahati and Kolkata. Through this tour UK HEPs will get a chance to interact with potential students who are interested in studying overseas and will be able to talk to school counsellors/teachers about courses in the UK and student support facilities.
We are delighted to invite UK higher education providers (HEPs) to join us for the UK Open Day in Indian Schools and HEIs. UK HEPs will:
- UK HEPs will interact with school counsellors, meet and engage students and gain an understanding of the Indian undergraduate market over a week.
- Build networks and relationships with some of India’s top schools and their counsellors and leaders.
- Will promote the UK as a whole and position the UK’s world class universities to school counsellors, students in schools. There should be minimal focus on individual universities.
- UK HEPs will develop and deliver workshops and sessions for counsellors who will support students to choose the UK.
Format:
- The one-week tour will visit schools and HEI in Guwahati and Kolkata.
- There will be no hard selling of individual UK HEPs and their courses. However, participating UK HEPs will get a chance to talk about their institutions in a more indirect way and create awareness about their brand to key influencers and students during the tour.
- UK HEPs are encouraged to bring their alumni who are perhaps based in these cities to join the sessions and talk about their UK experiences. Agents will not be allowed to represent.
