Market context

According to the UK Independent Schools Council 2018 census, there has been steady growth in pupil numbers from mainland China. Chinese mainland students now constitute more than 25 percent of the total number of international students studying at British independent schools. This figure is expected to continue to increase over the next few years.

The British Council China is organising a marketing mission to support UK independent schools and colleges showcase their offering to a wide variety of audiences in China, including students, parents and agents. The mission will enable UK independent schools and colleges to grow and strengthen their China network and raise their profile in an increasingly competitive market. The events will also coincide with British Council exhibitions for schools and colleges in Hong Kong and Japan.

Participation Fee: GBP 1,650 (excluding VAT)

Participation fee includes:

  • Venue hire – hotel venues in two cities in China
  • Meeting table/chair – schools may bring table banners and promotional materials to decorate their tables
  • Afternoon refreshments during each event
  • Management of an online public session – including pre-event promotion, onsite coordination and post-event follow up
  • Social media promotion - pre-and-post-event profile raising through British Council Study UK social media channels. Audience reach: 220,000+
  • Visa invitation letter for China visa application

Participation fee does not  cover  international or domestic flights, accommodation or insurance.
