Opportunity

Shandong Qufu Normal University is seeking UK partners to develop and deliver 4+0 or 3+1 undergraduate programmes in the fields of electrical engineering and automation, network engineering and applied statistics with the aim of recruiting up to 300 students per year. They plan to have the first enrolment in 2019.

This is an opportunity for the selected UK partners to establish a long-term partnership with one of the key universities in Shandong province, North China, with potential for expansion into other fields, such as student and faculty exchange programmes and joint research. It is also an opportunity for the UK partners to raise their institutions’ profiles and brand awareness in China, which may benefit student recruitment.

Areas of responsibility for the two collaborating parties:

The selected UK partners will be expected work with Shandong Qufu Normal University to:

  • provide course curriculum and teaching materials
  • provide teacher training and induction
  • support in the quality assurance of the programmes
  • issue a Bachelor’s degree to the students upon successful completion of the programmes.

     

Qufu Normal University will be responsible for:

  • promoting and recruiting students for the programmes
  • providing qualified teaching staff as well as the required teaching premises and logistical support for the programmes
  • supporting prospective students in preparing to study in the UK as part of the programmes
  • issue undergraduate diplomas and bachelor degrees to the students upon successful completion of the programmes.

About Qufu Normal University

Qufu Normal University is one of the key universities in Shandong Province, China, located in the city of Qufu, the hometown of Confucius. The university has 29 schools and 28 institutes covering learning, teaching and academic research. The university owns seven post-doctoral programs and 34 doctoral programs, 118 programs offering master’s degrees, 12 programs offering professional degrees and 85 undergraduate programs. The university has a large enrollment, including 32,680 undergraduates, 3,531 graduates, 16,000 continuing education students and more than 100 international students.
