British Council is requesting the services of a Curator/Facilitator to develop and deliver a Cultural Skills workshop around the theme of vocational training for visual artists in Bahrain.
The key themes to be addressed are:
• Writing and Communication: Portfolio development, essay writing, biographies and social media.
• Representation in the Commercial Sector: Private gallery representation, auction houses, art dealers, art fairs, private collections, buying and selling and private commissions.
• Representation in the Public Sector: Applying for grants from international organisations, international artists residencies, international travel grants, public collections and public commissions.
British Council is offering a one-off fee of £7000 to the successful applicant for the development and delivery of the workshop, including a resource to be used during the workshop. The workshop is intended to include up to four other presenters to join in the delivery of the workshop in Bahrain.
Dates of delivery for the workshop are 24th and 25th of February, 2019. British Council will coordinate and manage the travel, accommodation and transport to Bahrain.
