British Council seeks guest speakers for a webinar organised for UK Alumni
Terms of Reference:
The Gulf-UK alumni network comprises of over 7500 UK graduates in various fields of work. The profile of UK alumni in the Gulf varies from fresh graduates and young professionals to community influencers and national leaders. The network aims to provide a range of opportunities for networking and professional development, to raise the profile of the UK as well as continue to demonstrate UK values and maintain positive disposition towards the UK.

We are now seeking volunteer speakers to deliver the 5th Webinar in this series. The session will be recorded and be made available to British Council staff and the wider Gulf-UK alumni network through LinkedIn and other social media channels.
Task:
British Council is seeking UK University professors and/or alumni who have the required experience to speak at a live webinar on the theme "How to get the job you want"
This webinar is aimed to help UK graduates navigate the employment landscape and will focus on the tools they need to get the job they want. Speakers can share practical tips and valuable strategies to help participants stand out from the competition and increase their chances of employability.
In order to give the session a holistic approach, we have identified three main subcategories under this theme and are looking for speakers to talk about the below topics:
- how to use LinkedIn as an effective job search tool
- building the perfect resume and cover letter/email
- preparing for and nailing (online) interviews
- Webinar Date: 8 December 2020
- Time: 1:00 – 2:30 pm GMT
- Expected audience: 100 UK Alumni, mostly based in the Gulf
