The British Council is offering to promote UK universities’ postgraduate courses in language assessment at its ’New Directions in English Language Assessment’ conferences in Asia and Africa.

This year, New Directions will be taking place in Nairobi, Kenya in September and Bangkok, Thailand in November. An event in New Delhi, India, is also scheduled for February 2025.

The conferences focus on the role that language assessment plays in education, bringing together academics, educational practitioners, and policy makers from around each region and the wider world.

There will be a booth dedicated to UK universities at each event where promotional posters and videos promoting relevant courses will be displayed. Institution information and logos will also be displayed on conference websites and included in the brochure received by attendees.

Requirements

This opportunity is open to UK universities offering post-graduate courses in language assessment, or post-graduate courses in TESOL (or related) with a language assessment component.

•    institutions offering TESOL (or related) courses with a prominent and/or distinct language assessment component
•    institutions with a strong track record of published research in language assessment.
