British Council promotes UK education in Russia and contributes to building partnerships between UK and Russian educational institutions.
Russia is a big recruiting market for ELT sector with a good potential for further development. As a part of our core activities from 29 July to 2 August 2013 we will be organising a press tour for four journalists from leading general interest and business media which have strong web presence in Russia thus boosting interest towards learning English in the UK. The group will be accompanied by one British Council staff.
Through this mission, we aim to promote awareness and develop a greater understanding of ELT sector availability and opportunities in the UK amongst potential students and their parents.
We also aim to promote individual institutions who will be taking part in this activity. After the visit the journalists will publish the materials about each institution visited. The approximate PR value of these publications is 51 000 GBP.
Participation fee: 1094 GBP covering the direct costs of this visit.
Each hosting institution is also expected to provide accommodation for one night for the group of five people, transfer from/to rail station if applicable and we would be grateful if lunch during the visit was be provided as well.
The group will visit five institutions.
