British Council India is organising pre-departure briefings for Indian students who have received a confirmed offer from a UK institution and shall be leaving for the UK in August/ September 2016 to begin their course. These sessions will provide guidance and advice about important dos and don’ts while they prepare for student life in the UK. The briefing will also give students the opportunity to meet and network with fellow students who have enrolled to study at a UK institution.

The briefing will include an interactive session with recently returned UK alumni who will share their exciting experiences in the UK as well as a session on ‘Tier 4 student visa applications and related procedures’ which will be delivered by officers from UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI) at each session in each city listed below. The briefing will also include a session on student life in the UK which will include information about UK culture, food, transportation in the UK, accommodation options and more.

Schedule of the pre-departure sessions:

July 09: Mumbai

July 18: Pune

July 21: Delhi

July 25: Ahmedabad

July 26: Hyderabad

July 27: Chennai

July 29: Bangalore

July 29: Kolkata

These sessions will be held at British Council offices. Seats are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Each attendee will be charged a nominal fee.
