Petra Christian University (UK Petra) is looking for a UK university partner to develop and deliver 3+1 joint programmes and staff/student exchange programme in the fields of interior design.

This is an opportunity for the selected UK partner to establish a long-term partnership with a top private university in Surabaya. It is also an opportunity for the UK partner to raise their institution’s profile and brand awareness in Indonesia, which may benefit further student recruitment.
Areas of responsibility for the two collaborating parties
The selected UK partner will be expected to work with UK Petra to:
- discuss the commonality of the curriculum
- provide guest lecturers at UK Petra
- provide dormitory for UK Petra students who joined the programme
UK Petra will be responsible for:
- promoting the programme
- selecting and sending the chosen students who have the capability and the capacity to join the programme
Brief introduction of UK Petra
Petra Christian University (UK Petra) was established in 1961 in Surabaya, the second largest city in Indonesia. Below the acknowledgements that UK Petra received:
- Accredited “A” (Institution Accreditation) by The National Accreditation Association of Indonesia (in 2014).
- Rank #1 among Indonesian private universities based on a decree on Classification/Clustering and Ranking of Higher Education Institution in Indonesia 2017 issued by The Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education
- Rank #3 among Indonesian private universities in international publication indexed by SCOPUS in the last 3 years
- Received “Excellent University Award” by Coordinator of Private Higher Education Institution District VII in East Java (in 2008 - 2015).
Currently there are twenty programmes that are conducted Joint Degree/ Double Degree with various partner Universities from China, Taiwan, Korea, Netherland and USA. UK Petra also sends students for student exchange programme to almost 90 partner Universities. Here is the list of international consortia or exchange programs in which UK Petra participates:
- Asia Summer Program initiated by Petra Christian University and Dongseo University since 2012.
- ACUCA (Association for Christian Universities and Colleges in Asia) Student Mobility Scheme - annually.
- Jenesys 2.0 – annually since 2012.
- Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR) - annually.
- Study of the U.S. Institute for Student Leaders on Global Environmental Issues (SUSI-GEI) in 2013.
- Joining and actively involved in Asian University Presidential Forum

Timeline
UK Petra expects that the discussion will take place for the rest of 2017 so that they could promote the programme in spring 2018 and implement the program in fall 2018.
