Riding on previous success in mainland China and Hong Kong, British Council is organising the Pearl River Delta schools roadshow covering Hong Kong, Macau and mainland China on 12-17 March 2015.

The event is designed to enable UK universities to meet prospective students, raise institutions’ profiles and build up or strengthen links and relationships with schools in the visiting regions.

The delegation will consist of no more than 12 universities. A maximum of two representatives from each university can join the tour.

The format of the five-day visit will involve information booths and short seminars on an overview of UK education. British Council counsellors will also be present to answer general enquiries.

A participation fee of GBP2,000 plus VAT will be charged. The participation fee will cover programme planning, co-ordination, briefing materials, logistical support, promotional leaflets, coach transportation, ferry ticket to Macau, and some meals. Accommodation is excluded.

This is the first time we explore the markets in Macau, Zhuhai and Zhongshan. Although we have conducted research and received encouraging feedback on market prospects, please be aware that this is the first time that we have run this activity and as such we cannot guarantee student numbers. Please treat this activity partly as market exploration.

Representatives must be university staff.  Agents or consortium organisations are not permitted.
