The British Council China is holding the UK-China Student Forum 2013 in Beijing from 6 to 10 May.

The need to equip students with the ability to confidently navigate and successfully engage with today’s globalised and interconnected world is becoming increasingly important.  But how we go about doing this still remains a critical issue and despite the well-documented benefits, there are many barriers that hinder students in their pursuit of overseas study.

The forum:
The Forum is looking for British students with a global outlook to join their peers from China to discuss the importance of an international education and analyse the decision-making factors that lead to overseas study.  It will provide a platform for young people to gather and debate the issues affecting their education and propose future directions for international education.

Aims:

  • Provide a platform for students from the UK and China to voice their opinions on the subject of international education.
  • Promote stronger ties and closer understanding between young people from the UK and China.
  • Raise awareness of the increasing importance of global mobility and the benefits of international experience.
  • Bring together British students with their peers in China and give them a unique chance to discuss the issues affecting their education.

How to apply:

  • Students simply need to answers 3 questions on overseas studies and submit their application by 20 March 2013 via or application web page.
  • Apply here
  • The Student Forum is only open to full-time British students aged 18 and over.

This is a great opportunity to promote outward mobility among your British students. Please help disseminate the information to them.
