British Council Philippines is looking for a UK institution to partner with for a nationwide competition in fashion and accessories design.

For the past three years, British Council has partnered with Inquirer Publication’s LOOK Magazine to deliver the Look of Style Awards. Each year, the winner is sent on an all-expenses-paid trip to the UK to pursue a short course in fashion design between January and March. The competition culminates with a runway show in November.

The competition has built a reputation over the years and the organisers are expanding it this year with the addition of a fashion accessories category.

As a partner, the British Council expects, at the very least, the partner institution to host the winners of the two categories at their campus for a short course in the areas of fashion and accessory design. Proposals are invited and will be assessed based on the best value offered.

In exchange, the chosen partner will benefit from the extensive media mileage provided by Inquirer Publications, which may include:

  • a. Mention in pre-event press releases and post event feature on Philippine Daily Inquirer
  • b. Acknowledgement and banners at live finale event
  • c. Logo inclusion in collaterals that will come out on the Philippine Daily Inquirer

Benefits are subject to negotiation depending on proposal presented.

Philippine Daily Inquirer is the number 1 daily broadsheet in the Philippines with a circulation nationwide of over 600,000 whilst Look Magazine is an up and coming fashion publication that has a circulation of 50,000.

Deadline for proposals: 31 May 2013
