Partnership opportunity Delhi Sports University, India

The Delhi Sports University (DSU) wishes to enter into partnerships with UK Universities in order to create opportunities of exchange of knowledge and expertise. The partnership will be in-kind in nature where everything will be done equally from both the parties. They are looking for opportunities to send their staff and students to UK universities for them to learn at foreign setups and in turn DSU will host the same from UK universities, to give them an experience of learning at their university.

The scope of work will include:

• Assistance in designing curriculum, developing content and assessment framework

relevant to sports and sports science through syllabus, modules, bridge courses, sports

training protocols with credit hours/ system which is at par with international

standards prescribed by international sports federations.

• Assistance in developing eligibility criteria for selection of students, faculty, sports

coaches and other staff specific to each course(s) and specific to each sport, thereby

furthering the scope of talent scouting and sports training framework.

• Develop capacity building programme for faculty of DSU and coaching staff through

best practices including short and long-term exchange programmes with the faculty

and coaches from UK universities as teaching assistants, research fellows or visiting

faculty and visiting scholars, to enable them to imbibe professionalism, work culture,

sports skills and knowledge related to process, compliance, policy and international

sports training framework of the operating focus area.

• Develop opportunities for students of DSU and of various universities in UK to enter

into short and long-term exchange programmes to enable them to exchange

knowledge and skills pertaining to their choice of sports in an international setup,

helping them expand their experiences and learnings.

• Develop opportunities for students, faculty and coaching staff of DSU and the

universities in UK to together attend research seminars and conferences through

exchange programmes. These seminars and conferences could be related to, but not

limited to, the fields of Sports Management, Sports Technology, High Performance

Coaching, Sports Performance Analysis, Strength and Conditioning, thereby furthering

the scope of knowledge creation and knowledge exchange.

• Lead the efforts of Delhi Sports University in establishing various Centres of

Professional Excellence for chosen individual sports that enhance the community based

structure in creating awareness for sports, identifying talent, developing and

nurturing the players and creating platforms for excellence which are of Olympic

standards.

• Assistance in ensuring that world class infrastructure gets built by formulating a robust

research and development team of individuals looking after the compliance of rules,

regulations and suggesting inputs that incorporate international standards of sports

and academic institutions.

• Support in conducting high quality research in the field of sports and sports related

fields which would supplement the objective, mission and vision of the Delhi Sports

University.
