Background

The growing number of international-curriculum schools in Indonesia is one of the factors that triggered the growth of Indonesian students studying overseas. In Indonesia, there are now more than 200 schools with Cambridge curriculum and 52 IB schools. This excludes non IB/Cambridge international curriculum schools, private schools and potential state schools.  However, the level of knowledge of the school counselors regarding UK education is varied. Many school counselors from the new international-curriculum, private or state schools are still not aware of the UK education system.

To meet the demand from the school counselors to hold another seminar that can accommodate both counselors who are new to UK university application system and counselors who need more advance knowledge in UK university application system, this year British Council Indonesia plans to hold another School Counselor Seminar that can meet these needs by holding two parallel sessions.
