For the past three years, Indonesian students have been showing growing interest in business studies. Based on HESA data, business studies is among the top three most popular subjects chosen by Indonesian students for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies.

British Council Indonesia in collaboration with Raffles Christian School Kelapa Gading will be holding a University Entrepreneurship Day on Thursday, 23 November 2017.

Raffles Christian School (used to be Raffles International School) is located in three areas in Jakarta; Pondok Indah, Kelapa Gading and Kebun Jeruk. The School is a certified Cambridge Center for International Examinations (CIE) providing an international curriculum in the Cambridge International Primary Programme (CIPP), International General Certificate for Secondary Education (IGCSE), International A level examinations and a member of the Association for International Christian Schools (ACSI). Moreover, it also provides the Global Assesment Certificate (GAC) that could help students to prepare for the next path to entry undergraduate degree at one of GAC Pathway Universities. Currently Raffles Christian School Kelapa Gading has approximately 70 students in grade 11 and grade 12. These students are studying AS and A-Level. Based on the information from the Dean, business studies is one of the most favorite subjects that the students choose for their undergraduate option.

Therefore, the aims of this event are as follows:

• To showcase UK strength in business studies.
• To promote business studies to Indonesian student.
• To give opportunity for the UK education institutions focusing in business studies to meet directly with potential students.
• To give the students a taste of studying business in the UK

It will be a half day event on 23 November in Jakarta, Indonesia. The event will consist of the following:

• Consultation with students and parents.
• Guest Lecture / workshop with topic related to business studies.

How to participate

This opportunity is limited for UK education institutions in the area of Business Studies.

The cost of the event is as follows:

• GBP 150 (exc VAT)

Expression of interest along with the proposed workshop / lecture should be submitted at the latest on 10 November 2017 to Audrie.Sanova@britishcouncil.or.id.

Please note that we will run this event if the number of participating UK Universities reached a minimum of 5.
