One of Qatar’s key aspirations is to create a knowledge-based economy through establishing cutting-edge education and research institutions in the country. While this focus of the government has yielded promising results in the form of up-and-coming Education City and the establishment of numerous world-class schools, colleges and research institutions, the general population seems to be thirsty for up-to-date information on the pace and direction of education in Qatar and how they can benefit from these developments.

In order to fill this information gap, Al-Raya – Qatar’s leading Arabic daily with average circulation rate of 80,000– is bringing out a special supplement on Education in Qatar that will detail the latest in education and research in the country. This special supplement offers education institutions – small and large alike – an opportunity beyond compare to showcase how they form a part of this education boom in Qatar and what they offer to the general public.

The supplement will be published in Arabic for free on Sunday, 31st of August in thicker and glossy papers along with Al Raya Newspaper.

Although studying in the UK may not be seen by some as part of Education in Qatar, it is for many Qataris a career progression stage after completing a form of study at local education instituions in Qatar.  UK institutions may want to utilise this opportunity to promote partnerships they currently have with local institutions such as, progression agreements, research collaborations, etc.  Alternatively, institutions can promote the institution in general while linking to their presence on the Supreme Education Council scholarship list as a selling point.
