Rikkyo University in Tokyo is looking for a UK university to host a group of 20 to 25 students to study English in multi-national classes, starting from summer 2017. The UK is one of the most popular destinations for Rikkyo students and they are keen to identify one university which can meet the requirements below. A member of staff from the university would like to make a scoping visit to potential universities in August 2016.
Requirements:
• Applications will be accepted from universities only.
• Applications from institutions located within 1 to 1.5 hours’ distance of London will be preferred.
• Number of participants: 20 – 25 students. It will be mainly undergraduate students, but it will be open to postgraduate students too.
• Timing: 4 weeks between 1 August and 15 September 2017
• Type of accommodation: On-campus accommodation or homestay
• Required contents of the course: Students to be placed in existing multi-national classes, rather than put together in one group. It is desirable that a day will consist of English language classes in the morning and other academic or cultural sessions in the afternoon. Weekend social activities will be preferred.
• A member of staff from Rikkyo University would like to visit potential host universities in August 2016, and preferably when she can observe the classes.

Founded in 1874, Rikkyo University has retained its tradition of education based upon humanistic values and Christian concern for others. The University has graduated over 170,000 students and currently operates two campuses in Ikebukuro and Niiza, both conveniently located within the vicinity of the Tokyo metropolitan area, with more than 20,000 students.
