Opportunities to deliver study skills training and UK education experience for a group of Thai government scholars in Bangkok 14-18 July 2014

British Council Thailand is working on a training programme to prepare a group of 36 Thai government scholars for studying in the UK for a Master’s degree and PhD courses.

In addition to English language training, we are asked to provide an intensive five-day supporting class to enable students to experience a lecture and learn key things on how to conduct a research in a UK university. Moreover, it is to provide opportunities for students to practice academic writing and reading skills e.g. writing a dissertation, writing an academic assignment, and reading a textbook. A mock up class and training on how to deal with a UK supervisor could be also included.

We are looking for two academics, professors or senior lecturers from a UK university to deliver this five-day training in Bangkok from 14-18 July 2014. The professional fee, travel cost (flights within South East Asia region is preferred but flights from the UK will be also considered) accommodation, and other related costs, will be covered.

For institutions interested in working with us in this project that have a professor or a senior lecturer in the region or be available for this period, please send the proposed cost and trainer profile to sarayu.hangchaicharoen@britishcouncil.or.th or uraiwan.samolee@britishcouncil.or.th
